About
The South Eastern Ontario Region, Newfoundland Dog Club of Canada (SEOR-NDCC) was established in 1996 to promote and protect our native Canadian breed.
The SEOR-NDCC is dedicated to helping Newfoundland dogs reach their full potential. Working events, such as Carting (Draft) and Water Rescue, are held annually by tireless volunteers that bring both experience and enthusiasm to every seminar and test.
The SEOR-NDCC publishes a quarterly newsletter for its members called the Gentle Giant News. The newsletter offers a wonderful collection of photos, stories about Newfoundlands, as well as information on provincial events, and letters from our members.
Upcoming Events
We have an awesome list of upcoming events! We have even juggled some dates and added even more events so please check out the ads and update your calendars. This year we have a couple of Carting Seminars, a few Rally Obedience Seminars, our Control Seminar, and this year we are offering a GROOMING Seminar! You have been asking and we have heard the requests, so we are working hard to make requested seminars happen. In August, we even have a Hot Dog Social that sounds like a great time too. Our Working Dog Committee and Special Events are trying to bring our events back with a bang for 2022 and look forward to seeing everyone come out to support the club. Please note that the seminars do have a minimum and maximum number of entrants and a closing date to enter so don’t wait to get signed up. Spectators are always welcome as well. If you would like to become a volunteer on our Working Dog or Special Events committee please let me know as we would always love more committee members, no experience required.
